Friday, April 25th was a great day. I got to meet one of my favorite authors, Harlan Coben. Mr. Coben was in town Friday on a whirlwind book signing tour. His schedule took him to Murder By the Book for an official signing, but he was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to stop by Katy Budget Books and sign some of his books we had in stock. Besides being a great author, he is really tall, cute and a very nice guy. Before he left, he spotted our bestseller display. He gave a two thumbs up, for Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney. Mr. Coben said he bought the book for his son. He started looking through it on his plane ride and ended up really enjoying it. He highly recommended it as an adult read.
For my fellow Coben fans, we have several signed copies of Mr. Cobens books. Come on over and take a look.
By the way, last week's blog entry sucking up to Mr. Coben by Brent Dore' was a total coincidence. Honest.
